Infrared Sauna Recommendations

I’ve owned an infrared sauna for nearly six years at this point. I’ve loved it and done research on the different brands, the science behind them and what makes a good one vs. a bad one. I posted a few reviews of the one I own and then started branching out and testing/reviewing other brands however I could. At this point I’ve accumulated enough knowledge to speak with some authority on them and since I get asked for recommendations already, I thought it would be a good idea to just list the ones I’d recommend based on specific needs.

The main things to consider when sauna shopping for an infrared:

Max temperature indoor or outdoor use, full spectrum infrared vs. far infrared, construction materials, power requirements, size, red light therapy/”chroma therapy”, extra features and of course price. We’ll look at specifics on why each one is a good pick for the right person. If you are looking for something that isn’t mentioned below, this is a page in progress, feel free to email me for recommendations to fit your needs; calebjacksonreviews@gmail.com

Infrared Saunas - Indoor/Outdoor - Full Spectrum/FAR Infrared - More

  • Springspa 1 Person Infrared Sauna

    Springspa Infrared Saunas

This is a brand I have sat in and tested out and really liked for multiple reasons. They are far infrared, but have options on the product page to include true red light therapy. They check all the boxes as far as the materials used (hemlock wood, carbon infrared panels) and they only require a standard outlet. 149 degree temps, speakers, lights etc. Just a really well made sauna from a solid brand.

  • Smartmak Infrared Sauna

    Smartmak Full Spectrum Infrared Sauna

Okay, so if you’re looking for full spectrum, with WiFi capabilities to run the sauna right from your phone, with true red light therapy built in… this is your sauna. It has everything. Bluetooth speakers, colored lights plus red light, full coverage for the infrared panels, heats up to 149 degrees F and honestly looks really, really nice. Canadian Hemlock wood, both carbon and ceramic infrared panels. This one checks all my boxes and then some. It is higher priced than some of the other infrared brands, but comes with more obviously. Options on the page for 1 Person, 2 Person AND 3 Person models.

  • MEISSALIVVE Full Spectrum Infrared Sauna

    MEISSALIVVE Full Spectrum Infrared Sauna

This is a full spectrum brand for larger space. There are multiple models on this product page with variable setups, including a 4 person corner sauna. Temps get up to 149 degrees, some models have red light therapy, they are highly rated by verified buyers and all the materials/engineering looks solid with these.

  • Dynamic Saunas Andora 2 Person Sauna Infrared Sauna FAR Infrared

    Dynamic Saunas Infrared Saunas

This is the sauna that started it all for me. I’ve had it almost six years at the time I’m posting this. When I did my research before buying, it stood out as the best anywhere close to this price range and still feels that way to this day. The 2 Person Andora gets up to 155 degrees, I’ve had mine up to 153, I actually didn’t fully close mine in the back because I installed in in a way that I can’t quite reach one corner, so a little air escapes and it still gets to 153. It hasn’t had a single problem for almost 6 years, it’s sturdy, reliable, effective and has great speakers, plenty of space and was super easy to set up. I’ll always highly recommend this 2 Person model and a couple other models from the brand.

  • GarveeLife Sauna Infrared Sauna

    GarveeLife Infrared Sauna

Does this sauna look familiar? That’s because they pretty much copied the previous brand I just mentioned. This is the budget version. It actually has one upgrade (oxygen ionizer) but gets a little less hot (140 degrees max). Otherwise, they are the same size, same materials, same coverage on the panels, even have the same placements for the door and windows. It is a lower cost option from a company that does make solid products, but they clearly had some inspiration from the brand I own at home. Still plenty of heat for a great sweat and sauna benefits, just a lower price and slightly less nice version.

  • Rest Island Outdoor Saunas

    Rest Island Outdoor Saunas

This is one of the only outdoor infrared saunas I’ve had the change to sit in and test out and I really, really liked it. It was during a cooler fall day and it had no problem heating up! Max temp is 149, wood is Canadian Hemlock, full coverage on the infrared panels, well-sealed, nice roof. This is a really nice brand that I recommend without hesitation. Multiple size options available on the product page!

  • Infrradelux 2 Person Infrared Sauna

    Infradelux Infrared Saunas

How’s that image? Nice right? That’s actually a screenshot from the review video. This brand sent me their 2 Person model to test out and review. It’s as inexpensive as you can get without a huge drop in quality for these saunas. I will say it’s biggest issue is that the max temp is 130. That’s plenty for a great sweat but just under ideal for maximizing health benefits of a sauna. The whole purpose is to raise your body temp and this will do that, just not as high as some of the previous mentioned saunas. If you want to sweat for detox and get some bloodflow improvement, you can get that at these temperatures, but some of the other benefits of sauna use you’d have to sit in here a lot longer to achieve than other previously mentioned brands. For the price, you get more than most brands are offering. Super easy install, speakers, lights, good size and the right materials. They have 1 person and 3 person models on the product page also.

  • Not the right fit?

There are a LOT more great options for different needs. If you have an endless budget, if you want a 6 person sauna, if you want a steam sauna. I have other recommendations, but this page is always a work in progress. If you have needs that don’t fit with these options, tell me your situation and I’ll give you options. Or if you already have one in mind, I can give you my feedback. Even if I haven’t tested the brand/model, I know what to look for. Email me at calebjacksonreviews@gmail.com.
